VC3
- Virtual concatenation (VC) is a data packaging method that allows more choices over how wide a data stream can be dedicated to a specific bundle of information. The previous standard used contiguous concatenation, which only allowed data in units of 15 Mbit/sec, VC groups them in as few as 2 Mbit/sec bundles. VC-3 specifically allows groups of 34 or 45 Mbit/sec depending on your hardware specifications.
